The Metsä Pavilion, operated by Business Finland in the area of the Embassy of Finland in Tokyo, is an amazing export project in which Cariitti is proud to be a part of it. In addition to acting as a home base for Finnish teams during the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, Metsä Pavilion is missioned for making Finland and Finnish exports visible until 2021.

The themes of the cooperation project of Finnish companies are digital technology, sustainable development and nature. The project is a great opportunity to increase visibility into Finnish know-how and culture, export companies and projects.

How did Cariitti’s involvement get started?

Sauna has a very special significance for both Japanese and us Finns. This theme, which is close to our hearts, was to be included among the Finnish companies operating in the project, and Cariitti was honoured to represent Finnish sauna culture. High-quality TAIVE benches and atmospheric sauna lighting are displayed to represent the elements for the best possible sauna experience.

Participating in the project will provide Cariitti with considerable visibility and new opportunities in the international market. Getting visibility in Japan is now particularly important for Cariitti, as the themes of well-being and health are currently a strongly growing trend in Asia.

From the very beginning, it was clear that maximum visibility would be desired for the sauna display. Of course, it is desired to make the sauna photographed as much as possible! The Japanese are known to be particularly enthusiastic photographers and they are eager to post their shots of what they see on various social media channels. And sauna is the most interesting subject when it comes to Finland!

Japanese partner to help implement the exhibition

On a practical level, Cariitti’s presentation has been carried out by Metos, which operates as a Cariitti dealer in Japan. Metos is a well-known supplier of sauna and spa products in Japan.

The sauna complex was delivered in parts from Finland to Japan. Assembling the sauna on site at the Metsä Pavilion went smoothly, as the Metos installation team had precise assembly instructions in use.
