Materials, structure, and ventilation
TAIVE Outdoor is handcrafted at Cariitti’s carpentry workshop in Finland. The collection uses Finnish materials designed to withstand demanding weather conditions and long-term use.
The structures use:
- Finnish spruce for the frame and exterior cladding
- Finnish birch for interior elements
- Hemlock or CWP-engineered birch as the surface veneer
- weather-resistant D4-class adhesive bonding (M1 emission class)
The sauna user experience is supported by carefully designed ventilation and electrical systems. Fresh incoming air is directed above the heater, where it mixes efficiently with the warm air and does not layer near floor level. The result is an even temperature, pleasant air quality, and an oxygen-rich, relaxing sauna experience that preserves the authentic atmosphere of a Finnish sauna in a modern implementation.
